Road to Offroad Specialists

Did you ride off road as a child? Have you never ridden offroad but always wanted to give it a go? Well now is the time to do it. Here at the Long Way Round we specialise in training people who have never ridden offroad. Why you might ask? A great deal of our customers are born again bikers aged between 40 and 60 and want to learn how to ride off road or green laneing. We can teach riders like this techniques and tips that would take you months sometimes even years to learn on your own.

How Do We Do It?

We start the first day off by going through the bikes with you in detail. We'll give you the do's and don'ts of the mountain and give you a couple of handy tips before we start. You will have two guides on motorcycles with you at ALL times, one leading and the other acting as a 'sweeper', and both guides are in contact with each other at all times via helmet radios. If thats not enough we also run a 'stalker' this is a third member of the team in a 4x4 which carries spares parts, tools, water etc. He will meet up with us from time to time, this is because if we have any problems i.e. a blowout, we can just change the wheel instead of having to do a tube change in the middle of nowhere. We also like to get some goods pics as the groups ride by.
