We had a fantastic few days riding, in a stunning location. A very friendly, professional service and excellent accommodation. We will be back and would recommend Long Way Round to anyone planning this type of holiday.
Your ad should carry a health warning as our sides were splitting with laughter and our livers are surely pickled.
Just to say a huge thank you to all of you for such an enjoyable trip, every aspect was great. Give Guinea a hug from Phil as he can’t stop talking about him and would liked to have said good bye (and that goes for all of us).
Well as they say in Llandow “chow for now”, hope you are still going strong next year as I’m sure we shall return.
The boys and me had a great time last weekend, and would like to thank you all for the excellent welcome you gave us, and the way you took care of us, both at your lovely home and Kris and Maggot on the trail.
The weekend was superb, as were the bikes and the boys (Kris & Maggot) wonderful tracks and both Kris & Maggots experience and expertise with the bikes and the local knowledge shone through.
Chris asked for any criticisms, well, there are none. We wish you all the success you deserve, and frankly you can’t miss. Both Neil, Skip and myself look forward to returning (you can’t have them without me), and shall highly recommend you to all.
Just a quick note to say what a fantastic opertaion you have out there. As you know I have ridden with other dirt bike companies in Southern Spain, but they don’t come clse to The Long Way Round. Nothing was too much trouble, the KTM range of bikes did not miss a beat, and been able to sample them all was fantastic. I will be back to see you soon.
PS - Hope Guinea is well, from the horrible little b*****d that wet him in the river Andrex LMAO
Just wanted to say what a fantastic time I had on our three days with you. The trails were amazing, setting off in glorious sunshine then ending up in snow at the top of the mountains, to then riding through rivers and along the beach.
Thanks to Maria and Emma for the fab breakfasts and hospitality, to big Chris and little Kris for the guidance and support and not to forgetr Guinea who made us laugh so much.
I will never forget the amazing experience and look forward to seeing you all again next year.
Within a few hours of meeting the Soroko’s you will feel like one of the family. They are welcoming and hospitable beyond belief.
Maria and Emma will keep you fed and watered (beered) so that you will want for nothing and the accommodation is immaculate. They are gorgeous!
Chris, Kris and Guinea will give you an awesome biking experience, taking in all types of terrain and catering for all levels of ability. They weigh up your talent and pick their routes accordingly so that you are offered the chance to improve if you want to or just enjoy the amazing trails. This holiday really can offer you anything with respect to riding that you could want.
In addition Chris has so much past to draw upon that there is no question he couldn’t answer or a situation he couldn’t handle and Kris and Guinea will gently tutor you on the way to progress with your riding skills and handle the differing terrain.
The company is set up to allow seamless riding for the customer even if a bike breaks down or has a puncture, and the support in terms of technical and medical backup is the most effective I have seen. This is a professionally run company in all respects and, due to the characters involved, you will have a laugh riot both on and off your bike from the start of your holiday to the end.
Kris, you are a fast, gutsy rider and thanks for all the laughs, tips and beer. Chris thanks for the laughs and beer and support - I really enjoyed chatting to you. You are legendary. Guinea, you are legendary for different reasons (and I will leaveit at that) - what a star! Oh and thanks for the beer. Maria and Emma, as I said, you are gorgeous in every way. It was lovely to meet you.
I hope to see you all again and I look forward to the success of your company.
I would like to give a big thankyou to all at the long way round, what an amazing time we had, the food the drinks and all the laughs too, the bikes are amazing and do exactly what you need, the trials are absolutely breath taking, (especially seeing deers running down the mountains) i hadn’t ridden in over a year but after an hour with Kris i had the confidence to take on some challenging climbs and what a buzz it was getting to the top!
anyway again a big thanks for looking after us and we will be back over in August, fingers crossed, cheers guys and ladies
ps (tell guinea he is a legend or should i say leg end and to stop repeating himself, he will understand what i mean, lol.)
opps i forgot to mention how great the hot tub is at 1am in the morning and how you really get a surprize when swimming around the pool, watch out carrot about.
breathtaking food every morning by emma, and kris is just down to earth and willing to help in any way he can.
Back in Uk now & guess what.. its raining. Thanks for a great few days riding & hospitality. I have left my black & blue enduro jacket in the tack room & its got the tax disc for my Gas Gas in the pocket. Can you see if its poss to get it sent back to me & how much ?
Thanks
Mark
I hope all is well? I thought I would take the time to send you my thoughts on my recent visit. When I cam back from my trip I asked myself a simple question - ‘Was there anything about the trip that I did not enjoy? Surely something nagged me?
I can honestly say that this is one of the best times I have had riding a bike!
Company was good
Food was good
Bikes were good
Riding was brilliant
I think as long as you can keep the experience as close to that for everyone you are onto a winner
Just a quick note to say thanks for your hospitality on our weekend and thanks for the dvd we will definitely be coming back at some stage as we had a brilliant weekend. Ive attached the link to my online photo storage account which has the photos I took stored on it. Ive also attached the best photo from the week in full quality as Kris said he may want it for the website.
Just had my first full day back in the wet and miserable delights of british summer, and already scheming a way to get back out there as soon as i can.
Cheers for everything, the hospitality was second to none, and the riding was even more spectacular than i could have hoped. Kris and Chris were both a great help in improving me from a shit rider to a crap rider, a massive step, next time i’ll try and put in practice what i have been told for a change and step up to just a rubbish rider ha ha…
But on a serious note, everything was spot on, from Emma’s breakfasts first thing in the morning, to the drinks to end the night. Will definately back, i’m banging in the overtime now to fund it!
Just a short note to thank you for a great holiday and for your hospitality.
I had a very enjoyable time despite having my riding skills “severely” challenged at times !
It was great to meet you both and hopefully see you again soon. No hesitation in recommending your holiday to my friends - I know Nick feels the same.
Best of luck for the future and please give Kris jnr & Emma my thanks and best wishes.
Kind Regards,
Neil.

ok so it was febuary we hit the hill’s with you guy’s and it’s now nearing the end of september so were a little slow sending this but we are still talking about it !!!! in a word “cracking” if your reading this and trying to make your mind up to go or not just do it !!!
everything first class all the testimonials above are spot on.
the first words from maria when we arrived was straight out of twin towns “cup of tea boys” and that set the president for the trip funny as it gets.
any way please keep guinea we don’t want him back cause we couldn’t keep up with him, mr relentless !!!!
churzzzzz luv from the devon boys, john, darron, nick, andy, jon and tony
Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed your hospitality last week. Chris was right, the riding is fantastic and I will definitely come back a some time to explore more of the wonderful Andalucian Mountains. I’ve had “offroad” withdraw symptoms ever since I have been home.
A big thank you to all at longwayround. Was more like being on holiday with family and your mates than with a tour group. Emma’s breakfasts were sublime and the Villa surely has to be the cleanest and most homely in the whole of Spain!(maybe you need a hobby Emma, that doesn’t involve cleaning)
The bikes were fantastic ,ALMOST as good as my Husky but Jace still thinks red ones would look nicer (honda joke) was really good to get to ride all the different engine sizes and they were all a pleasure to ride on all terrains.
As for the rides, amazing doesn’t come close! Something for everyone but for us the more extreme the better and you certainly delivered. Just a shame we went to fast to admire the breathtaking views. The near vertical climbs, dry river beds and rock climbs(with bike) were really great experiences.
A big thank you to Roberto too for joining us on our last day and upping our pace. What a great guy too.
A big thanks once again to you all. Its an experience i hope will not be a once in a lifetime thing as hope to return as soon as possible so get practicing Kris!(like you actually need to! NOT!)
Jace will be checking the weather forecasts for months as he is sure he could beat you to the top of the mountain if it was raining! Oh and he was on a Honda lol.
Until next time you all take care and see you all soon.
Jace and Nev Duke.
BEST HOLIDAY EVER! Andrew and myself were complete off road novices and not especially fit but in just 2 days, Kris had us doing stuff that I never thought possible in that short a time. This was down to expert guidance and fantastic bikes that could handle far more than we could ever throw at them.
Outwith the biking, the hospitality shown by Chris, Maria, Kris and Emma was absolutely fantastic. We felt more like family friends than paying guests. I really cannot reccommend these guys highly enough, as I have done to anybody I know who’s into bikes. The only bad point would be that you’ll probably get home and want to buy your own KTM, and the wife probably won’t be best pleased. I’m sure she’ll come round to it though.

Just a quick note to thank you and your family for the wonderful three days that we had.
Everything was top class, food accomodation, hospitality, partying and some of the best riding we’ve ever done.
Needless to say it took us a couple of days to recover and we’re already planning to come back in the spring, if we’re allowed!!
Thanks again and all the best to Chris, Kris, Mrs Kris and Guinea
